De cartoon zegt het beknopter dan een lang artikel. Wat is de balans na tien jaar havoc? Privacy overal geschonden, de VS folterde net als hun tegenstanders, er is een diepe economische wereldcrisis, de hulpverleners van 9/11 krijgen niet de noodzakelijke gezondheidszorg, de Grondwet en het Congres van de VS zijn zogoed als buiten werking gesteld, en de chaos heerst nog steeds na ontelbare doden.

Toen de Russen de Afghaanse regering hielpen om de fundamentalisten daar klein te houden zodat ook meisjes naar school konden gaan, heeft de VS de Taliban voorzien van wapens en geld om de Russen te verdrijven. Nu vechten de VS en coalitiegenoten tegen diezelfde Taliban. Het idee is duidelijk om Europa to forceren om mee te doen in de oorlogen van de VS. De laatste ontwikkelingen wijzen erop dat de steun aan al-Qaeda rebellen in Libië en Syrië niet alleen tot doel heeft de meest vooruitstrevende (dus sociale) landen in een neoliberale chaos en westerse dictatuur te veranderen, maar ook om Europa (dat in feite ook een geheime economische vijand is van de VS – de VS kent geen vrienden, enkel belangen) te betrekken bij oorlogen en zodoende economisch machteloos te maken.
